I recently met Mike at the Nashville Comic Con. I was wearing a Jennifer Morgan costume I had made and he was kind enough to have a picture taken with me. He asked me to send him a copy, and I’ve attached it here. I’ve also attached a professional photograph of the costume that I had taken by Paul Cory Photography at Dragon Con this year.

It was really great meeting Mike last Saturday and it totally made my day! I’m always a little nervous about meeting people whose writing/drawing I admire (what if am accidentally a jerk to them! Or say something stupid!), but Mike is absolutely lovely and the nicest person to chat with. He was very kind to the numerous fans around his table and very kind to me to let me get a picture with him. The Warlord was my ‘gateway’ fandom and I wanted to be this character when I was kid. It was an amazing experience learning the skills to put this together and it was amazing to be able to meet Mike while wearing this cosplay.
